COURSE DESCRIPTION
Tactical Rifle II
Who should attend: Police, Military, Security and Civilian
Prerequisite: Civilian Rifle or proof of attendance at an acceptable training academy as approved by the Midwest Tactical Training staff. Students requesting deferral of a Basic Rifle Course should contact Midwest Tactical for further.
The purpose of this block of instruction is to expand on the skills developed in the Civilian Tactical Rifle Course and add additional information/skills to further the student’s ability to respond to a critical incident.

- Use of cover/”Slicing the Pie”
- Pivots and turns
- Moving targets
- Shooting positions
- Precision shooting
- Positions of cover
- Reloading techniques and malfunction drills
- Multiple threat engagement
- Distance shooting
- Threat engagement in the Shoot House
GEAR & AMMO REQUIREMENTS
- Semi-auto or select fire weapon with a minimum 3-30 round magazines or 5-20 round magazines
- Semi auto or revolver pistol with a holster
- Rifle ammunition: 300 rounds of non-armor piercing
- Pistol ammunition 50 rounds
- Knee pads
- Sling required on rifle
- Shooting Mat (optional)
- Eye/ear protection (electronic ear protection recommended)
- Hydration system/water
- Weapon cleaning kit
- Chair for when reloading on the range
- Plate Carrier/ Bullet Proof Vest is OPTIONAL.
